Codapedia Announced, Wiki for Coding and Medical Reimbursement

Project Calls for "Codapedists"

01/14/2009

PHOENIX, Md. — Greenbranch Publishing and Betsy Nicoletti, of Springfield, Vt., announced the formation of Codapedia the largest collaborative online encyclopedia for medical coding and reimbursement for physician services.

Codapedia will launch in April; the preview site is now available HERE.

"Codapedia is a Wikipedia for physician services, providing free, user-generated content. The easy-to-access content will feature expert articles, forums, resources and links to definitive citations. Advertisers will pay to place ads on the site," said founder Betsy Nicoletti, "And the centerpiece of Codapedia will be the feature of video advertising."

"Coders often have very limited budgets for to pay for coding resources, and yet they want to be accurate and compliant in their coding," Nicoletti continued. "Codapedia will offer them two important opportunities: to share their hard-found expertise with other coders and to find knowledge that they need to do their jobs."

In anticipation of its launch in April, Codapedia is tapping into a community of knowledgeable coders and experts, "Codapedists," who will contribute non-copyrighted information to a searchable database. Interested parties are asked to click HERE, enter their e-mail address, to be notified when Codapedia goes live.

Codapedia is created in association with Betsy Nicoletti, MS, CPC, and president of Medical Practice Consulting, and Greenbranch Publishing, publisher of the 25-year old Journal of Medical Practice Management, and a team of editorial content "Codapedists" from around the nation.
