PALM SPRINGS, Calif. — GHN-Online, a provider of real-time, revenue-cycle management solutions, and Purchase Commander, pioneering SaaS-based enterprise-level purchasing systems for healthcare facilities, announced a partnership to deliver advanced purchasing solutions for GHN-Online's ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) and physician specialty hospitals. This partnership provides GHN customers with a fast, easy and affordable purchasing solution to manage and control the entire purchasing process via a Web-based portal. The partnership will also develop cost-per-case solutions, which will proactively manage spend categories of surgical procedures at time of initial scheduling. The announcement was made at the Eighth Annual Conference of Physicians Hospitals of America where GHN-Online and Purchase Commander are exhibiting.

"Our partnership with Purchase Commander further extends GHN's capabilities for transparent and accelerated revenue recovery by giving ASCs an e-procurement solution that helps to better manage and control purchasing transactions," said Azadeh Farahmand, president and CEO of GHN-Online. "Having delivered the industry's first Web-based claims management tool, GHN is perfectly aligned with Purchase Commander's SaaS [Software as a Service] business model, which is quickly becoming the preferred method for software solution delivery." GHN and Purchase Commander will build upon their core products and integrate the latest version of Purchase Commander into GHN Online's Visum solution for revenue cycle management.

"GHN set the industry standard in Web-based claims management and their customers are poised to leverage a solution like Purchase Commander for enhanced facility and money management," noted Ted Matson, managing partner of Purchase Commander's Western Division. "Purchase Commander represents the single data platform so highly desired within the healthcare purchasing space, but until now, has been out of the reach of most healthcare organizations," continued Alex Scott, managing partner of Purchase Commander's Eastern Division.

Optimized to meet the unique needs of healthcare organizations, Purchase Commander is used at more than 1,000 facilities, which report gross purchasing savings of 13 to 26 percent. As a SaaS-based solution, it requires no acquisition costs or additional investments in IT infrastructure and has complete Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for seamless ordering capabilities.
