SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Laserscope, a pioneer in the development and commercialization of medical lasers and advanced fiber-optic devices, today announced that Peter Hadrovic has joined Laserscope as vice president, legal affairs and general counsel.
Peter joins Laserscope from the Heller Ehrman/Venture Law Group, where he specialized in corporate and securities law and general business counseling for public and private technology companies. Peter has had extensive experience in a variety of corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, strategic partnering and licensing arrangements, and as a general business advisor to venture-backed and public technology companies. Peter also brings valuable expertise from the public sector, where he served as a congressional aide responsible for health care policy, among other issues. Peter received an A.B. from Princeton University in 1988 and a J.D. from Cornell Law School in 1997.
Robert Mann has taken over responsibility for Laserscope's worldwide sales, marketing and product distribution organization as group vice president, global sales and marketing. In this role, Robert will be primarily responsible for executing on the company's worldwide strategic business plan for 2005, as well as working with the company's executive management team and board of directors on longer-term corporate strategic planning.
Additionally, Laserscope announced that Bob Mathews has been appointed as the company's new group vice president, operations and product development. In his former role as executive vice president, operations and service for laserscope, Bob led the company's manufacturing, materials and field service organizations for five and a half years.
