Source Medical Introduces SourcePlus EHR to Deliver Enhanced Electronic Health Records Management to its National Client Base

07/28/2005

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Source Medical Solutions, a leading provider of outpatient information management solutions, today announced the availability of the SourcePlus EHR powered by Cyramed, a wireless electronic health records (EHR) management solution for ambulatory surgery centers and physician practices.

With the SourcePlus EHR, Source Medical's customers will experience the increased efficiency that comes with automated medical records and patient charting. The system's real-world graphical user interface mimics the familiar paper-based medical record keeping paradigm that healthcare facilities are accustomed to -- speeding training and easing adoption, while simplifying the transition to electronic health records management. And, since the system is wireless, clinicians can roam freely with secure access to clinical information at the point-of-care, or anywhere within their facility. The HIPAA compliant system automates patient medical records while reducing costs and the risk of medical errors.

To provide the solution, Source Medical partnered with Mountain Medical Technologies, Inc. (MMT), developer of the Cyramed EHR system.

"We're pleased to offer a solution that will simplify and improve the way our customers manage their patient records. SourcePlus EHR provides immediate return on investment by dramatically reducing the staff time and costs associated with preparing, storing and retrieving paper based patient charts. The system is easy to implement, affordable and very user-friendly," said Ralph Riccardi, Source Medical's COO.

Source Medical provides outpatient information solutions and services for ambulatory surgery centers, rehabilitation clinics and diagnostic imaging centers nationwide.
