Cirrus Health Appoints Ira B. Korman as Senior Vice President of Operations and Strategy

TROPHY CLUB, Texas -- Cirrus Health announces the appointment of Ira B. Korman, PhD, as senior vice president of operations and strategy. Korman will be responsible for facility and physician development, operational management and strategic planning for current and future organizational growth.

“Cirrus Health is a dynamic and growing organization. They recognize the future of the delivery of high-quality patient care is through partnering with physicians,” said Korman. “I am excited to join the leadership team to provide additional resources in continuing the growth of Cirrus Health.”

Most recently, Korman founded and served as president of IBKOR Consulting based in Dallas, Texas. IBKOR Consulting provided business development, strategic planning, operational management, organizational analysis, and other services to a number of clients, including, but not limited to: Metrocrest Hospital Authority, SpineMark Spine Centers, Kimberly Clark, Taos Orthopedic Institute, and Providence St. Joseph Hospital. Prior to IBKOR Consulting, Korman served as chief executive officer of Southwest Surgery Center in Hurst, Texas. Korman recruited 23 physicians and increased surgical cases with an annual growth rate of 25 percent. At Medical City Dallas in Dallas, Texas, Korman served as president of the 555-bed tertiary medical center. He was responsible for the development of centers of excellence, record profitability and earned the facility an international reputation by creating the acclaimed Craniofacial Institute.

Korman received his bachelor of arts degree from Hunter College, City University of New York, and his master of science degree from the University of Oregon in Eugene, Ore. He earned his doctor of philosophy degree in psychology from the University of Oregon and he completed the executive management program at Yale University.
