Medical Center Endoscopy Selects ProVation software for Patient Charting, Procedure Documentation & Coding

11/10/2009

MINNEAPOLIS--Wolters Kluwer Health, a global provider of information for healthcare professionals and students, announced today that Medical Center Endoscopy has selected its ProVation® MD software for procedure documentation and coding, and its ProVation® EHR electronic health record and patient charting solution.

ProVation EHR is an electronic health record designed for busy, cost-conscious ASCs. It offers robust electronic documentation and document imaging for all elements of the patient encounter, from past records to procedure documentation to follow-up care. With ProVation EHR, ASCs have affordable access to a single, patient-centric documentation system that eliminates printing and chart storage costs and streamlines workflow. ProVation MD, available for the full range of ASC specialties, replaces dictation and transcription and allows physicians to efficiently document procedures at the point of care. ProVation software produces complete, coding-ready and image-enhanced procedure notes that result in greater efficiency, increased profitability and clinician satisfaction.

One of the largest facilities of its kind in Houston, Medical Center Endoscopy is a fully licensed ambulatory surgery center specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of gastroenterological (digestive system) disorders. The facility is located in The Texas Medical Center near Houston’s Methodist Hospital and St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital.

“Medical Center Endoscopy is a leader in Houston’s gastroenterological community,” said Arvind Subramanian, president & CEO, Wolters Kluwer Health Clinical Solutions division. “We are honored to add them to the list of more than 700 hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers that have selected ProVation software for electronic patient charting, procedure documentation and coding.”
