LCA-Vision Warns It Might Close More ASCs This Year

LCA-Vision Inc. warned shareholders at the company’s annual meeting Tuesday that the recession might force additional closures of laser-vision surgery centers this year.

According to the Business Courier of Cincinnati, the news sent shares of LCA down sharply during late-morning trading. But the 10 percent dip, which brought shares to $5.89, was followed by a modest recovery. By the noon hour, shares had climbed to $6.13, down 20 cents from yesterday’s close.
