WATERBURY, CT--Amkai announced that it has been awarded a contract to provide its AmkaiEnterprise software suite to the Malo Clinic Center for Ambulatory Surgery. Located in Rutherford, New Jersey, this surgery center is part of the Malo Health Group, a Lisbon, Portugal-based organization of over 14 mega-clinics in North & South America, Asia, and Africa. This facility is the company’s first surgery center in the U.S.
Malo’s New Jersey site will implement AmkaiOffice™, a next-generation administrative software program designed to replace the largely legacy systems in place today, and AmkaiCharts™, the industry-leading electronic medical record system designed specifically for outpatient surgery environments. The deployment will serve the Malo Center’s 11,000 sq ft, four operating room multi-specialty facility. A crucial factor in the decision to award the contract to Amkai was the ability to manage information with the same software across not only the surgery center, but also the affiliated surgical offices, conveniently located in an adjacent full-service clinic with 40 exam rooms.
