MGMA supports Medicare Physician Payment Reform Act (H.R. 3961) and Affordable Health Care for America Act (H.R. 3962)

The Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) today sent the House of Representatives a letter indicating the Association’s support of the Medicare Physician Payment Reform Act (H.R. 3961) and the Affordable Health Care for America Act (H.R. 3962).  MGMA supports healthcare reform and considers these important bills as interdependent policies that are essential to ensuring access to high-quality care and Medicare payment stability for physician group practices. 

In addition to meaningful health system delivery reforms, the legislation includes important administrative simplification provisions which MGMA has championed for several years.  These provisions will effectively streamline many of the current inefficient healthcare transactions, resulting in significant and long-term savings to the healthcare system.
