New York Podiatrist Faces 28 Counts of Healthcare Fraud

William Holley, MD has been charges wtih 28 counts of healthcare fraud including submitting numerous fraudulent bills to Medicare. according to a report in the Buffalo News.

The report states, the charges stem from an investigation by the Western New York Health Care Fraud Task Force.

"Between January 2001 and May 2008, Holley submitted numerous fraudulent bills to Medicare, the federal health program for people 65 and older, and to the Univera Healthcare private health insurance company, the U. S. Attorney’s office said in court papers.

Holley, 46, of Amherst, 'knowingly and willingly' schemed to defraud Medicare and Univera Healthcare, prosecutors Michael DiGiacomo and John E. Rogowski alleged."
