New Outpatient Surgery Center Opens In Wisconsin

08/27/2008

A new outpatient surgery center has opened its doors in Sheboygan, Wis. thanks to efforts by an area hospital and surgeons, Northeast Wisconsin Marketplace Magazine reported.

The Sheboygan Surgery Center is a multi-specialty center equipped with state-of-the art such as video equipment with high definition monitors for minimally invasive surgical procedures that it integrates the patient’s images, the radiologist’s report, and the patient’s health record, allowing multiple health providers access to the patient’s records.

The freestanding center is cost-effective, charging less than centers that are associated with a hospital.

The facility meets Medicare standards and guidelines. In addition, it is participating in the Accreditation Associate for Ambulatory Health Care's accreditation process. The building is also green as the centers administrative director Sara McCallum said  “we feel strongly about reusing, recycling, and respecting the environment in this construction and all of our future building plans.”
