American College of Medical Practice Executives Elects New Officers

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) has named Alan M. Stoll, FACMPE, president and CEO, TWM and Affiliates, Worcester, Mass., as board chair for 2004-2005.

 

 ACMPE, which grants nationally recognized certification and fellowship designations to medical practice management executives, confirmed its slate of new officers during the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) 2004 annual conference, held Oct. 3-6, 2004 in San Francisco.

 

Stoll, who has more than 30 years of experience as a group practice executive, succeeds Norma J. Plante, FACMPE, senior administrative director, Scripps Clinic, La Jolla, Calif., who will remain on the Board as immediate past chair and a member of the executive committee.

 

 Elected as vice chair was Ronald Menaker, FACMPE, Green Bay, Wis. Elected to secretary-treasurer was Sarah J. Holt, PhD, FACMPE, administrator, Cape Girardeau (Mo.) Surgical Clinic Inc.

 

 New members of the 2004-2005 Board of Directors are:

 

Philip W. Rhoades, FACMPE, executive administrator, Orthopedic Group Inc., Pawtucket, R.I.; and

 

Alan D. Winkler, FACMPE, chief operating officer, Arkansas Health Group, Little Rock.

 

Returning members of the Board are:

 

Rebecca S. Dean, FACMPE, corporate executive director, Sportsmedicine Fairbanks (Alaska);

 

Nicholas H. Kupferle III, FACMPE, director of operations, Summit Healthcare Management Resources, Fort Worth, Texas;

 

Ruth L. Lander, FACMPE, practice administrator, Columbus (Ohio) Oncology Associates Inc.; and

 

James M. Lineberger, FACMPE, executive director, Idaho Cardiology Associates PA, Boise.

 

Serving as the nonvoting member is Thomas P. Peterson, FACMPE, executive director, Idaho Emergency Physicians, Boise. Peterson is the MGMA Board chair for 2004-2005 and as such serves ex officio on the ACMPE Board for 2004-2005.

 

 

 

Serving ex officio as chief executive officer is William F. Jessee, MD, FACMPE, president and CEO, MGMA and ACMPE.

 

 

The American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE), established in 1956, supports and promotes the personal and professional growth of healthcare leaders to advance the profession of medical practice management.
