A KTRE news report states a proposed Texas county ASC will revceive tax breaks. The center will also create additional jobs for provide additional services that are not available in the county hospitals.
"Perhaps plastic surgery, certainly pain management, neuro-surgery, other fields that overall, don't have a strong presence here," Patrick Walker, MD said.
The report states, "Houston County Medical Investors presented the agreement a few years ago due to the need for outpatient care.
And on Tuesday, the Commissioners Court approved a five-year tax abatement for the center."
