HOLLYWOOD, FL— Ambulatory Surgical Centers of America (ASCOA) is pleased to announce the opening of Broward Specialty Surgery Center, a newly constructed 12,000 square foot multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center located in Hollywood, FL. This state-of-the-art facility has three operating rooms and two procedure rooms equipped with the latest technologies and medical devices. The first surgical case was performed February 23, 2010.|
“We are very excited about the opening of our new surgery center in the Pembroke/Hollywood community and our partnership with ASCOA,” said Maury Jayson, MD, a physician partner and president of Broward Specialty Surgery Center. “Patients will love the facility and our caring, attentive staff. They will also love the savings we provide. Across the board, their bill will be about 35 percent lower, versus having the same procedure done at a hospital.”
By choosing ASCOA as their management partner, the ten physician partners at Broward Specialty Surgery Center will focus on providing quality medical care to patients, while ASCOA handles the financial and operational management of the center. Substantial savings on surgical procedures for patients is a product of this partnership.
According to Matt Parra, ASCOA vice president of acquisitions and development, additional surgeons can still join this partnership. “Currently, we offer surgical procedures in general surgery, urology, gastroenterology, ENT and orthopedic spine. We are looking to expand within these specialties as well as add others. Interested surgeons are welcome to apply for privileges or schedule a time to tour the facility.” From the perspective of a very satisfied partner and surgeon, Jayson added “There is no other facility like it in the area.”
Broward Specialty Surgery Center is fully licensed to provide outpatient surgical services and is a recognized Medicare provider facility.
